Darren Jacobs
DEALCLUB was founded by Darren Jacobs, a seasoned entrepreneur and business acquisition expert with a passion for helping others achieve growth through strategic acquisitions. Darren's journey into M&A started with a simple yet transformative deal - one that changed the course of his business and his career.
Darren's First Acquisition
A GAME CHANGER STORY
Years ago, Darren owned an IT business when he stumbled upon an opportunity to buy another company owned by a friend.
The asking price was £120k, but after checking his bank balance, Darren made a bold offer of £20k.
To his surprise, the offer was immediately accepted. Three weeks later, the deal was closed, and Darren’s company had an additional £400k in revenue.
The real magic happened just a week after the acquisition, when the newly combined businesses won a £250k contract.
The investment paid for itself within one month. This experience opened Darren’s eyes to the power of acquisitions—it was faster, easier, and far more impactful than the organic growth he had been pursuing.
At the time, Darren’s existing business had a £300k per annum sales team that was growing revenue by around £250k per year. Yet, in just three weeks, through a single acquisition, he had achieved £650k.
It was a pivotal moment.
Darren shifted his business model entirely and dedicated himself to mastering the art of business acquisition.
Since that first deal, Darren has successfully closed over 40 acquisitions across multiple sectors.
His journey led to the creation of DEALCLUB—a platform designed to guide and support entrepreneurs through the acquisition process, with a focus on action and results, not just theory.
