No analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracking — which is why you have not been asked to accept anything.

| Cookie | What it does | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| dc_session | Keeps you signed in | Strictly necessary — without it you would be logged out on every page | 30 days, or until you sign out |
| dc_signed_in | Lets the site show “Members Area” instead of “Member Login” | Strictly necessary — it carries nothing but the fact that somebody is probably signed in, and grants no access whatsoever | Alongside the session cookie |
That is the complete list, and it is checked against the code rather than written from memory. The session cookie holds a signed token saying you are logged in — not your password, and nothing about what you do on the site. The second carries no information at all beyond the fact that somebody is probably signed in.
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, consent is needed for cookies that are not strictly necessary — analytics, advertising, anything that follows you. We do not set any, so there is nothing to consent to.
We would rather not add a box asking permission for something that needs none. Being asked to consent to nothing is how people learn to click "accept" without reading, which is worse for everybody.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking this one means you cannot stay signed in, so the members area will not work — but the public site will be fine.
If we ever add analytics or anything else that is not strictly necessary, this page will say so and you will be asked properly before it is set.
