What we do with your data.

The short version: we hold what we need to give you the product and take payment for it, we do not sell anything to anybody, and you can have a copy or have it deleted by asking.

1.Who we are

DEALCLUB Limited (company number 15886537) is the data controller for the information described on this page. If you want to ask us anything about it, or exercise any of the rights in clause 6, email darren@dealclub.online.

One exception, and it matters: when you use the sourcing engine to build prospect lists and write to business owners, you are the controller of that information and we are processing it for you. Those terms are separate.

2.What we hold, and why

Grouped by what it is for, rather than by database column.

WhatWhyOur lawful basis
Your name, email address and phone numberTo give you an account, send you what you bought, and contact you about itPerformance of our contract with you
Your business name, trading address and logo, if you add themTo put your own letterhead on the letters and documents the platform producesPerformance of our contract with you
Payment records — what you bought, when, and how much
We never see or store your card details. Stripe handles the payment.
To give you access to it, to answer questions about it, and because we have to keep accounting recordsLegal obligation, and performance of our contract
The deals you add — target companies, figures, documents and notesBecause that is the product. They are yours and are private to you by defaultPerformance of our contract with you
What you tell us when you book a callSo the call starts somewhere useful rather than with an introductionYour consent, given by booking
Basic usage — when you last signed in, and which features you have usedTo know whether the product is working for you and to decide what to buildOur legitimate interest in running and improving the service

We do not buy personal data about you, we do not sell or rent it to anybody, and we do not use it to train anything.

3.Who else sees it

Running the service means other companies handle some of your data on our behalf. Each one is listed because you cannot judge what you are giving us without knowing where it ends up.

WhoWhat forWhere
StripeTaking payments and managing subscriptionsEU/US
SendGrid (Twilio)Sending email — confirmations, receipts and noticesEU/US
NetlifyHosting the site and running the applicationEU/US
NeonThe database everything is stored inEU
GoHighLevelMarketing contact records, where you have opted inUS
IntelliprintPrinting and posting letters, if you use sourcing and connect your own accountUK
StannpThe alternative print-and-post provider, on the same basisUK

Where data goes outside the UK, it is covered by the transfer safeguards those companies publish — in practice standard contractual clauses or an equivalent. We do not transfer your data anywhere else.

4.Where business information comes from

The platform looks up companies and businesses in public registers. This is information about businesses, published by the bodies that keep those registers — nothing about you is sent to them when we look something up:

  • Companies House
  • The Food Standards Agency hygiene register
  • The DVSA MOT testing station register
  • The Environment Agency waste carrier register
  • The Care Quality Commission register
  • Postcodes.io, to turn a postcode into an area to search

Some of that information is also personal data about the people behind those businesses — a sole trader's trading name is often their own name. If you use the sourcing engine, you are the one deciding what to do with it, which is why the processing terms exist.

5.How long we keep it

WhatHow long
Your account and the deals in itFor as long as you have an account, and then deleted on request
Payment and accounting recordsSix years, because UK tax law requires it — this is why a deletion request cannot erase everything
Prospect records in the sourcing engineUntil you delete them or close your account. They are yours, and you decide
Email delivery logsKept so we can answer 'did that email ever arrive', and pruned periodically

We do not yet delete things automatically on a timer. If you ask us to delete your data we do it by hand, and we will tell you when it is done.

6.What you can ask us to do

Your rightHow it works here

We will answer within one month. There is nothing to pay.

7.Cookies

We set 2 cookies, both strictly necessary — one keeps you signed in and the other lets the nav know to say "Members Area". No analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracking, which is why you are not being asked to accept anything. The detail is here.

8.Changes to this page

If we change what we do with your data, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. If the change is significant, we will email you rather than relying on you noticing.
